The Northrå Story.

The purpose, the intent, told out loud.

Hey there! My name is Cameron Frye, I was born & raised in the Appalachian Mountains of Pennsylvania. Not long after I was born, my Grandparents bought a large acreage of deeply forested land not far from my hometown, which is where I spent many weekends as I was growing up. It was in my teenage years I fell in love with woodworking from Woodshop class.

It was in 2019 I first learned about, bought, & crafted with a piece of Hempwood. For years I was a Hemp enthusiast, constantly telling my family & friends about the newest fun fact I found in research. To work with it as a lumber, is something I both did - and did not - in this age of invention think I would ever have the joy of doing.

Northrå H&T was born from a triple pillars of passions. Passions for Craftsmanship, for Innovation, and for Sustainability. The stunningly enduring nature of wood is one ingrained to the human spirit, It captures awe and eyes with the swirl of grain & texture. As time goes on & the climate continues to be changed by force, I believe we can do good through wood.

This motivation is why it's built into Nørthra that 10% of each sale will be donated to Climeworks carbon removal solutions. With Nørthra, the purpose of quality is for far more than quality alone. That is my promise.

The Green Promise.

Northrå exists for one reason, and one reason alone. That reason is the desire to do good for the planet. The desire is the easy part, but the hard part is following through on such a goal. With so many facets which are out of our control, you're probably asking yourself "How do you possibly work sustainably?"

The answer to that question is simple: we optimize a 3 stage strategy. Materials, Shipping, and Donating. The lumber used is either made entirely of Carbon negative Hemp, or sustainably harvested Timber. All metal hardware is sourced from the USA. All packages are shipped with a Carbon neutral option. And lastly, 10% of sales are donated to Climeworks monthly, which is a permanent Carbon dioxide removal process.

The Philosophy

Build in the name of conservation, and design in the name of innovation, so the forest may be renewed for the good of all.
